National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON) Northern California would like to invite you to the multiple emergency actions on Monday, April 27, 2015, to seek clemency from the Indonesian government for Mary Jane Veloso in order to halt her impending execution.
Mary Jane Veloso’s family was given a 72-hour notice of execution. It is expected that she will be executed on Tuesday, April 28th (Indonesian time). As the date approaches quickly, concerned Fil-Am leaders and supporters are urging individuals to join local actions to expose this injustice that has been swept under the rug by incompetent Indonesian and Philippine officials.
Bay Area Day of Action to Save Mary Jane Veloso:
1. Rally at the Indonesian Consulate (1111 Columbus Ave, San Francisco, CA 94133) at 9am.
2. Rally at the Philippine Consulate (447 Sutter St, San Francisco, CA 94108) at 12pm.
3. Vigil at Seafood City (1535 Landess Avenue, Milpitas, CA 95035) at 7pm.
We call on the American public to voice their sympathy and show their support to stop the execution of Mary Jane Veloso, a Filipina victim of human and drug trafficking.
