PRESIDENT-ELECT & JUDICIARY COMMITTEE CHAIR – MARC PILOTIN

Marc Pilotin is the General Counsel for the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA).  Before joining the LWDA, Marc was the Counsel for Wage & Hour Litigation for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Western Region and an an associate at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein. Before attending law school, Marc was a fourth-grade teacher in South Los Angeles.

Marc has been a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and has presented on various topics, including wage-and-hour law for the American Bar Association.  He has also served as court-appointed counsel in civil rights cases.  In the community, he has served as Chair of the Oakland Public Ethics Commission and as a director of the ACLU of Northern California.

Marc graduated from Berkeley Law in 2009 and received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from UCLA.
