Marc Pilotin is the Counsel for Wage & Hour Litigation in the Office of the Solicitor for the U.S. Department of Labor. In that role, Marc directs the DOL Western Region’s litigation combatting wage theft and other unlawful employment practices that violate workers’ rights.  Before joining DOL, Marc was an associate at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein litigating antitrust, employment, and false claims act cases. Before attending law school, Marc was a fourth-grade teacher in South Los Angeles.

Marc is a lecturer at Berkeley Law and has presented on various topics, including wage-and-hour law for the American Bar Association.  he has also served as court-appointmed counsel in civil rights cases.  In the community, he has served as Chair of the Oakland Public Ethics Commission and as a director of the ACLU of Northern California.

Marc graduated from Berkeley Law in 2009 and received his master's and bachelor's degrees from UCLA.
