Mid-Level Energy and Natural Resources Associate – San Francisco

The Energy and Natural Resources practice group is looking to hire a Mid-Level Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join either our San Francisco or New York office's Energy and Natural Resources transactional team. The position will primarily focus on the group's core practice assisting clients with the development of renewable energy projects but will also involve work in the traditional/conventional power generation arena. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, project development, construction and project finance experience and excellent drafting and negotiating skills. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to manage small to mid-sized matters or portions of large, complex matters effectively, consider themselves a self-starter and demonstrate outstanding organization skills. Prior experience at a large international law firm is a definite plus.

Mid-Level Financial Transactions Associate – San Francisco

The San Francisco office of Reed Smith seeks an exceptional, preferably California licensed Mid-Level Associate to join our Financial Transactions practice. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of mid-to-large size firm experience in lending and should be familiar with Article 9 of the UCC. Experience drafting loan documentation (personal property secured) is a requirement. Experience with customary due diligence review and analysis, and securitizations is a plus.

Reed Smith's San Francisco banking and finance team represents financial institutions, various other institutional lenders, and company clients in a wide range of finance transactional matters, including equipment leasing, venture lending and leasing, cross-border leasing and vendor finance, complex debt and equity financings in M&A, and leveraged buyout transactions, as well as receivables finance and securitization. Members of the team also handle debt-finance work for large public companies, and financing related to private equity orientated M&A deals and leveraged buyouts. Mid-Level Intellectual Property Associate – Silicon Valley

The IP, Tech & Data Group of Reed Smith LLP is currently seeking an exceptional mid-level associate with 4-6 years of experience to join the firm's Silicon Valley office. Reed Smith's IP, Tech & Data Group comprises nearly 100 lawyers and spans the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and France. The group provides counsel and litigation services throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and other parts of the world. Successful candidates will have a broad range of IP experience, with a focus on trademark and copyrights. Candidates must have significant experience with U.S. and foreign trademark filings, portfolio management, clearance and litigation, including before the TTAB and federal court. Candidates should have experience with trademark disputes and enforcement, including preparing and responding to cease and desist letters, take down requests and UDRP proceedings. Candidates must also be well-versed in USPTO and international filing processes, trademark searches, licensing and IP related due diligence. Strong writing and analytical skills and demonstration of a high degree of initiative are must-haves. This position is not focused on patent prosecution or patent litigation. Ideal candidates will possess strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school. Candidate must be licensed to practice in California.
