Wills Assistance for Emergency Responders

The coronavirus pandemic has taken a devastating toll on health care workers and first responders, and unfortunately need to be planning for the possibility of serious illness or death. With Filipino Americans making up a large portion of the nation’s nursing workforce, FBANC has partnered up with Legal Access Alameda to provide Wills Assistance for Emergency Responders (“WAFER”).

Please share this free resource to help first responders prepare basic estate planning forms: http://disasterlegalservicesca.org/wafer/

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to provide help for health care workers and first responders in completing statutory wills, statutory powers of attorney (for property) and health care directives. Volunteers will be trained and an attorney with expertise in this area of law will be available to help with questions that you cannot answer.

To volunteer, please send an email to Mari Bandoma Callado at maribandoma@fbanc.org and indicate that you are interested in volunteering for WAFER.
