This year, FBANC Foundation will offer relief stipends to students currently attending law school in Northern California who have been affected financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. The FBANC Foundation will be awarding stipends based on financial need. To be eligible for a stipend, an applicant must be a member of FBANC or a member of their law school’s Filipino-American affinity group.
Please spread the word about the application to anyone who may be interested. The application deadline is May 20, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. The stipends will be awarded in June 2020.

The Filipino Bar Association of Northern California Foundation (“FBANC Foundation”) is accepting applications for several scholarships to be awarded at FBANC’s Virtual 40th Annual Installation Ceremony on June 11, 2020 (the ceremony will be online). The deadline to apply is April 17, 2020. There are several options this year.
FBANC Foundation Scholarships
There are four FBANC Foundation Scholarships:
- The FBANC Foundation Scholarship ($5,000)
- The Charles and Melita Jung Charitable Trust Fund Scholarship ($3,000)
- The Honorable Ronald Quidachay Scholarship ($5,000)
- The Raymond L. Ocampo, Jr. Family Scholarship ($10,000)
These are available to law students and law school admittees (i.e., people who have been admitted to a law school for 2020-21, but who have not yet started law school).

FBANC Foundation / BALIF Foundation Joint Scholarship
The FBANC Foundation and the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom Foundation (“BALIF Foundation”) are sponsoring the FBANC/BALIF “Pamilya” Joint Scholarship in the amount of $3,000 to a current law school student who has a demonstrated commitment to the Filipinx American and LGBTQI communities

The Honorable Eleanor Oducayen Nisperos Women’s Committee Scholarship
The Honorable Eleanor Oducayen Nisperos Women’s Committee Scholarship is available to a college student or graduate applying to law school. Ths scholarship is in the amount of $1,500.
