FBANC Proudly Endorses Pelayo A. Llamas, Jr. for Alameda County Superior Court Judge

Pelayo A. Llamas currently serves as an Alameda County Superior Court Commissioner. Since 2019, he has been presiding over trials and other court hearings everyday. These hearings include criminal law, small claims trials, domestic violence, civil harassment and elder abuse restraining orders, and child support orders. Prior to his appointment, Commissioner Llamas gained more than 26 years of experience as an attorney in private practice and public law with the Oakland City Attorney’s Office.  He served as the past Vice-President and President-elect of the Alameda County Bar Association and has served in leadership of many other attorney/judge organizations. 

Service as a judicial and quasi-judicial officer:

  • 2019-present Commissioner Alameda County Superior Court

  • 2015-2019 Judge Pro-Tem Alameda County Superior Court

  • 2011-2012 Administrative Hearing Officer City of Oakland

Commissioner Llamas’ run is uncontested in Alameda County. The election is on June 7, 2022. Mail-in ballots will be sent early May.
