The Filipino/a/x community continues to have deep roots in Stockton ever since Filipinos took root in the area while working as farm workers in the 1930s.

The Filipino/a/x community grew and elevated its collective power in the culturally rich area well into the decades ahead. Filipino labor leaders like Larry Itliong, Andy Imutan, Chris Mensalvas, Ernesto Mangaoang, Carlos Bulosan, and Philip Vera Cruz all worked out of Stockton at one time or another.

Despite this history, there remains a dearth of legal resources for the community. Come volunteer or seek assistance in the area of housing law.
