Jorgio Castro
I am running for a Director At-Large position on the FBANC Board of Directors.
I plan to work to maintain FBANC events by lending my institutional knowledge as advice and counsel, and support to board members in our deliberations and decision-making. Having previously served on the FBANC board for 3 years as Legal Clinics Co-Director, and a year each as Community Outreach Co-Director and Operations Co-Director, I have knowledge of historical board, director, and organizational practices and procedures. I will bring those to the FBANC Board table to help the FBANC 44 board execute a great year.
My principal driving goal remains to ensure FBANC continues its tradition of supporting the Filipino/a/x community in the Bay Area, especially immigrant and low-income communities and first-generation lawyers and law school students. I will strive to keep the focus on delivering the FBANC experience for our membership and community as we move forward into the future under President Leo Cristobal. Cheers to FBANC 44!
