Director, Community Outreach:

Chloe Czabaranek

Mabuhay at kamusta! My name is Chloe Ramos Czabaranek, and I am running for the Community Outreach Director position for FBANC 44. I have served as Membership Director for FBANC 43 and Legal Clinics Director for FBANC 41 and 42. Currently, I am a Removal Defense and Affirmative Asylum Associate Attorney in Oakland at Landerholm Immigration APC. My passion for immigrant rights and keeping people in this country stems from immigrating to the U.S. from the Philippines. The reason I am running for the Community Outreach Director position is because I understand the importance in being connected with our community and staying rooted to causes we believe in.

I have worked with many different communities and organizations that support domestic caregivers, human trafficking survivors, and nursing home workers from my experiences as a non-profit intern, anti-human trafficking attorney/crime victims’ rights attorney, and labor union organizer respectively. Throughout my undergrad, law school and post-bar career, I volunteered and continue to volunteer with community organizations and grassroot movements.

As Community Outreach Director, I plan to strengthen our relationships with community partners, increase the amount of grant applicants for the William R. Tamayo Community Grant, and continue to collaborate with our partners like our previous Community Outreach Directors. Thankfully my years on the board and my previous experiences allow me a vast network of community support to achieve these goals. FBANC allows me to work with non-profit and grassroots organizations and serve the greater Filipinx community. I look forward to entering my fourth year as part of the Board of FBANC. Maraming salamat for your continued support!
