I am Sandra Isabelle Cortez Tan.
I served as the 2020-2021 Membership Director. During this time, I aimed to grow FBANC and highlight membership benefits for all members. The unprecedented pandemic provided many opportunities to be creative in reaching out to potential new members and retaining current ones. I believe that I met my goal in that regard.
However, I have unfinished business.
I aim to continue to serve FBANC in the upcoming 2021-2022 Board as the Membership Co-Director. My goal is to continue streamlining our membership and connecting everyone through a directory so we can always find each other.
I was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. My mother grew up in Mandaue City and to this day is part of the Bay Area’s “Mandauehanon Fiesta” held in May every year. My father was raised in Bacolod City. I still have a very large family and connections in the Philippines.
When I became a lawyer in the United States, I sought to find that same level of pamilya and was so happy to have found FBANC. It is a bar association that I am both invested in and passionate about. I truly believe in the values and purpose of FBANC, and I hope I have the opportunity to serve on the Board once again in the coming year.
Sincerely,
Sandra Isabelle Tan
