Director, Membership: Marjan Abubo
Hi FBANC!
I am Marjan Abubo, I am a municipal law attorney, and I am running to serve the FBANC community as a Co-Membership Director. This year, I’ve had the honor to bring the FBANC community together in my role as a Co-Social Director, and I hope to apply the same energy in next year’s upcoming board term.
Whether I was organizing a picnic at the Presidio or bringing the community in the Oakland hills, this past year has been rewarding because of the incredible social connections we’ve been able to forge and maintain amidst the backdrop of an ever-evolving socio-political climate. Through it all, I’ve learned the importance of leaning into community to find some semblance of stability and comfort. Undoubtedly, FBANC is a space where our community can come together. That said, FBANC’s success runs on its dues-paying members!
As such, I hope to execute the following goals this upcoming year:
Identify recruitment and retention targets and create, implement and manage action plans to attract new members, from law students to attorneys new to the area.
Maintain good relationships with individual members as well as with firm and business contact persons and group members in order to increase memberships.
Identify new and meaningful member benefits for FBANC members.
Thank you and I am looking forward to your support as your incoming Co-Membership Director for 2025-2026 FBANC Board.
