Director, Mentorship: Nicolette Rae (Nico) Bencito

Nicolette Rae “Nico” Bencito (she/her) is an Associate Attorney in the San Francisco Office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, and she is part of the firm’s Employment Law, Professional Liability, and General Liability teams.

Nico received her Juris Doctor degree with a specialized certificate in Labor & Employment Law from the University of San Francisco (USF), School of Law. She was a Senior Editor for The University of San Francisco Law Review and served as Co-President of the Pilipino American Law Society (PALS) and Professional Development Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA). During law school, Nico served as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles E. Wilson at the Santa Clara County Superior Court in Palo Alto and as a student clinician for the University of San Francisco Immigration Policy Clinic. Nico was also a judicial extern for the Pro Se Department at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, where she was a nationally competitive policy debater with the CSUF forensics Team.

Outside of her legal practice, Nico enjoys collecting board games, reading, roller skating, and making charcuterie boards.
