Officer-At-Large, and Foundation Treasurer:

Alyssa Daatio

My name is Alyssa V. Daatio and I hope to serve as Officer at Large/Foundation Treasurer for FBANC’s 44th year. As Officer at Large/Foundation Treasurer, I will be responsible for organizing the law student scholarship process, maintaining relationships with our law students, including past scholarship recipients, and fundraising. I am certain that my previous experiences on the FBANC Board have prepared me for the role of Officer at Large/Foundation Treasurer.

For the past three years, I have served on the FBANC Board as Community Outreach Co-Director. As Community Outreach Co-Director, I was responsible for coordinating and facilitating the William R. Tamayo Community Grant, awarded to one non-profit in the Bay Area dedicated to serving the Filipino/a/x American Community. In that particular role, my duties included spearheading the grant selection process in the spring and building long-lasting relationships with various community partners in the Bay Area. In addition to my role as Community Outreach Co-Director, I have served on various FBANC Committees, such as the Mentorship Committee and the Women’s Committee. In those committees, I supported other committee members with programming as needed and assisted in facilitating meaningful connections between seasoned legal professionals and law students, that are invaluable for personal and professional growth.

I am committed to creating a supportive network that empowers future generations of Filipino legal professionals. As Officer at Large/Foundation Treasurer, I will dedicate my time to actively seeking innovative fundraising avenues for FBANC's diverse scholarships while also exploring new scholarship opportunities. Beyond merely securing funds, I see it as essential to cultivate enduring relationships with previous scholarship recipients. By celebrating their career milestones and achievements with our generous donors, we not only honor their accomplishments but also showcase the tangible impact of our scholarships.

Through these efforts, I hope to continue advancing FBANC’s mission to inspire and encourage other law students within the Filipino/a/x community, fostering a robust pipeline of talent and leadership.

As a vital member of the executive board, I recognize the importance of collaborative teamwork and mutual support in achieving FBANC's objectives. Beyond fulfilling my specific roles as Officer at Large/Foundation Treasurer, I am committed to actively engaging with fellow board members and directors, offering my assistance whenever needed.
