President-Elect: Antonio Raimundo

I’m running to serve as President-Elect for the 2025-2026 term.  If elected, this would be my eighth year on the board, and third as an Executive Board member.  And, the plan would be for me to serve as President during the 2026-2027 term.

I’m currently Senior Counsel, Litigation & Employment at Lyft, Inc., where I manage high stakes litigation and advise on cutting-edge employment law issues.  Prior to Lyft, I was an associate at two law firms, mainly practicing business litigation and employment law.  And, I served as a judicial law clerk to two federal judges in Los Angeles.

I love FBANC because it has given me a terrific community of wonderful Fil-Am people.  I’m the proud son of two immigrants from Manila, with a large extended family in Northern California.  But during my time growing up in Fremont and my early adulthood in Los Angeles, I was not involved in Fil-Am activities or organizations.  That all changed in my 30s, when an amazing Fil-Am friend and mentor got me involved in our legal community, and I felt like I had come home.  I then served for two years on board of the Philippine American Bar Association in Los Angeles.

In 2016, I moved back to the Bay to be closer to my family.  Soon I joined the FBANC board, where I’ve held a number of roles:  Mentorship Co-Chair, Social Co-Chair, Foundation Treasurer, and Vice President.  I’ve served on these boards for many years because I want to help create for others the same feeling of community that FBANC gives me, and to continue the good work that FBANC does - awarding scholarships to our students, building networking opportunities for our colleagues, and helping Fil-Am people in our region.

As President-Elect, I’ll have two priorities.  First, I will execute on President Maribeth Charvet’s vision for FBANC 45 (the 2025-2026 term).  Her theme is Pathways, which focuses on the idea that there are many ways to be a Filipino American lawyer.  I love this theme, and it resonates with my experience, as I have practiced as a civil litigator, a corporate M&A lawyer, an employment attorney, and now in-house litigation counsel.  Second, I will use my year as President-Elect to prepare for my term as President.  I’ll emphasize planning for fundraising, building out a team, and creating an early schedule for FBANC 46.

Thank you for considering my candidacy, and I hope I’ll get your vote.  If I can answer any questions, please reach out to me at antonioraimundo@fbanc.org
