Secretary:
Riane Briones
My name is Riane Briones, and I am formally declaring my candidacy for Secretary for the 2025-2026 FBANC Board. Currently, I am Associate Attorney at Manning & Kass Ellrod Ramirez Trester LLP as part of the Premises Liability, Product Liability, and Retail, Restaurant, and Hospitality Litigation teams. I have served on the FBANC board for the past three years, first as FBANC’s Operations Co-Director, and then as Mentorship Co-Director. As Mentorship Director on the FBANC board, my goal was to continue to cultivate relationships across the FBANC community and to spread awareness about the numerous opportunities and resources FBANC can and will continue to provide, primarily to students with an interest in the legal field, law students, and young attorneys like myself. From our past Komunidad conference, we highlighted the need to bridge the gap between attorneys, law students, and undergraduate students, and also sought to empower law students in their unique backgrounds and experiences that will propel them forward in their legal careers.
If elected Secretary, I will continue to collaborate with our communications committee and our greater membership to provide engagement and visibility to FBANC’s members, events, and accomplishments, by providing newsletters and updates to our website and calendar. I will also seek to foster more engagement from both within FBANC and beyond to fully encompass this upcoming year’s theme of “Pathways” and the variety of ways we can forge paths and journeys in our careers, lives, and communities.
