Director:
Ariel Gozzip
Ariel is a San Francisco native with deep roots in Bicol. Growing up, childhood summers spent in the Philippines served as a constant reminder of her heritage.
This perspective has guided a career that is as global as it is local. After studying international affairs and working in human rights advocacy, Ariel lived and worked in Japan. While this time abroad was invaluable, it ultimately deepened her appreciation for her own community and sparked a drive to return to the Bay Area.
At Santa Clara University School of Law, Ariel served as an editor of the International Law Review and a student volunteer at the Entrepreneurs Law Clinic.
Ariel’s professional background spans law firms, in-house roles, and the Silicon Valley tech sector, where she focused on technology privacy and international business. Now, she is a civil and commercial litigator in San Francisco.
Beyond her practice, Ariel remains committed to fostering the next generation of talent as an attorney mentor for the Tech Edge J.D. program and at the Bronco Entrepreneurs Advisory Clinic Hub, where she helps students advise Silicon Valley startups.
Reflecting on her journey, she recognizes she would not be here today without the community that stood behind her. That realization is exactly what drives a desire to get involved. She is dedicated to ensuring that same community has a strong voice and that the next generation of Filipino-American legal professionals has the support they need to thrive.
