James Villanueva
James Villanueva is Commercial Counsel at One Finance, Inc. His practice is focused on commercial contract negotiation, intellectual property, and privacy. Previously, James worked as General Counsel for a solar panel installation company in New York and as Legal Counsel for a financial tech company based in Santa Clara. He is a licensed patent attorney and also licensed to practice in New York.
James received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and was actively involved in the Filipinx community on campus. James received his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School where he was a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and Managing Editor for Production for the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology.
This is James’ fourth year serving on the FBANC board and he is currently serving as a Director at Large on the board for the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. Outside of work, James enjoys playing sports, all you can eat buffets, and the occasional karaoke nights.
