Director:
Ralph Dimarucut

My name is Ralph Dimarucut.  I have been involved with the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California (FBANC) since I was a first-year law student.  FBANC was instrumental in my journey as a law student.  Now as a practicing attorney, I am looking forward to contributing to FBANC’s efforts to connect current law students to mentors and support their professional development.

I am an Associate in the San Francisco office of Jackson Lewis P.C., where I represent management in employment litigation and advise clients on various aspects of the employer-employee relationship.

In addition to refining my litigation practice, I also enjoy exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence technology and employment law.  I previously served as a Research Assistant to my Employment Law Professor, providing research support for the article, "Workplace AI and Human Flourishing," published in the Connecticut Law Review in December 2024.  I find this topic fascinating.

I am also a Semester Adjunct Lecturer at Santa Clara University School of Law where I teach Advanced Legal Writing: The Bar Exam (ALW).  The class prepares third-year law students for the essay section of the California Bar Exam.

Outside of the office, I am an avid runner and reader who believes in the importance of consistent self-care.
