Director:
Philip Ryan "RJ" Abarquez
Philip Ryan "RJ" Abarquez is an Associate at Jackson Lewis, where he works with clients on a range of workplace matters with clarity and care. He graduated from UC Law SF, where he was first introduced to FBANC and found a community that shaped his path in the legal profession.
During his 1L year, he helped organize Kommunidad, an experience that grounded him in the importance of collective support and cultural visibility. He later served as Treasurer of the Pilipinx American Law Society (PALS) and as Professional Development Chair for APALSA, roles that allowed him to help build spaces where students could grow together.
As a proud LEOP scholar and alum of the East Bay Children’s Law Office and the late Senator Feinstein, he carries a deep commitment to equity and service. Stepping into the role of Community Outreach Director, he is excited to give back by supporting and recognizing a Pilipinx organization that serves underserved communities. He is looking forward to the opportunity to strengthen the same kinds of communities that supported him.
In his downtime, he enjoys live music, great restaurants, golfing, and traveling. He also loves to spend time with his friends and family.
