Candidate for Director:

William Walraven

I have had the privilege of serving on the FBANC board for the past four years, as Social Director for two years, then as Mentorship Director for one year and as Historian Director this past year.

I am seeking your support to continue my service to FBANC in my capacity as Historian Director. If elected I will continue the project honoring FBANC past presidents, which was created under the leadership of our current president Jennifer Sta. Ana as part of the FBANC 41 theme “KNOW HISTORY, KNOW SELF.”

There is more work to be done on this project which is intended to highlight the achievements of our past presidents, as attorneys, and as members of the Filipino-American community in the San Francisco Bay Area.  To move this project forward I intend to follow up directly with each past president and other past board members to supplement the record.

Another goal is to create a database of notable FBANC events and related media as a resource that can be utilized by our future FBANC board. FBANC has such a proud legacy and it is important that we ensure our history is accessible for those who follow in our footsteps.

Thank you for your consideration.  I would be honored to have your support.
