Advocacy & Community Work

During the FBANC 42 fiscal year, FBANC released the following advocacy statements, organized a community outreach event that focused on collaboration and healing, offered the William R. Tamayo Community Grant to a non-profit serving the Filipino/a/x community in the San Francisco Bay Area, organized a legal clinic on estate planning that catered to the needs of LGBTQ+ and AAPI community members, and organized a legal clinic with Pilipino Association of Workers and Immigrants (PAWIS) - the organization’s first in person legal clinic since COVID-19.

  • FBANC signed on to Hirono, Murkowski, Case, Kiggans Reintroduce Bicameral, Bipartisan Bill to Reunite Filipino World War II Veterans with Their Children

  • FBANC joined NFALA and affiliates in condemning expulsion of Tennessee Lawmakers
