Mari Bandoma Callado, FBANC President (2020-2021)

Mari Bandoma Callado is a Trial Attorney and Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Dolan Law Firm, PC.  Mari represents employees in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, wage and hour as well as human trafficking cases as well as individuals injured and families of loved ones who have died due to the fault of others, including hate crimes, elder abuse and neglect lawsuits. Mari has been selected for inclusion in the list of Rising Stars in Northern California by Super Lawyers every year since 2017.

Mari is the 40th President of FBANC and has served on the FBANC board from 2013 to 2021.  During her tenure on the board, Mari has served as President-Elect, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. She has also chaired various committees such as the Judiciary Committee, Women’s Committee, Membership, Legal Clinics and Scholarship Committees. Mari founded FBANC’s Advocacy Committee, Awards and Endorsements Committee and Communications Committee. In 2016, Mari co-founded the Pinay Powerhouse Conference. Mari is honored to have received FBANC’s Raymond L. Ocampo Jr. Family Scholarship in 2011 and co-emceed the 2012 FBANC Installation Dinner.

In addition to her service to FBANC, Mari regularly volunteers at Legal Aid at Work’s Workers’ Rights Clinic and Alameda County Bar Association’s Lawyers in the Library. Mari also serves on the board of various local, state and national bar associations. Mari is the co-chair of the Asian American Bar Association’s Civil Rights Committee. She also serves on the California Employment Lawyers Association’s Education, Women’s and Elimination of Bias in the Judiciary Committees, and previously in the Barristers’ Committee. She is the First Vice-Chair and Political Chair of the Consumer Attorneys of California’s Diversity Committee. and the co-chair of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association's Plaintiff's Network. She was also appointed to serve on the Executive Board of the California Lawyers Association’s Labor and Employment Section.

Mari graduated from UC Hastings and was recognized for her Pro Bono work.  During law school, she served on the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal and was President of the Pilipino American Law Society and Employment and Labor Law Students Association. She earned her B.A. in Ethnic Studies and minor in Education from UC Berkeley.
