Roberty Uy, FBANC President (2014-2015)

Robert Uy is an attorney at the Uy Law Group, which provides legal services to clients throughout the Bay Area in Bankruptcy Law, Family Law, Landlord-Tenant and Immigration Law.  Robert represents clients with matters encompassing immigration, family law, domestic violence and human trafficking law. Robert has extensive experience in immigration law and is experienced in all aspects of family law. Robert has been included in the annual list of Super Lawyers for Northern California from 2021 to the present, and as a Rising Star in Northern California from 2014 to 2020.

Robert is the 34th President of FBANC and served on the FBANC board from 2010 to 2015.  During his tenure on the board, Robert served as Internal Vice President, Executive Vice President, Secretary, and Legal Clinics Director.  Robert’s many accomplishments include establishing the FBANC Law Foundation; holding the first FBANC legal clinics at the Pilipino Bayanihan Resource Center in Daly City; starting the tradition of hosting joint happy hours with sister bar associations; establishing the Nassiri Jung Scholarship; and convening the first meeting of "Fil-Am" Attorneys in Tech.

In addition to his service to FBANC, Robert has held numerous leadership positions with various organizations, including the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA), Director; the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA) Regional Governor; Alliance for Community Empowerment (ALLICE), President; and Pilipino Bayanihan Resource Center (PBRC), Vice President.

Robert has received special recognition from AABA, the City and County of San Francisco, Daly City, the State Senate, and State Assembly.

Robert graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law and earned his B.A. in History and Asian American Studies from University of California, Los Angeles.
