Ian Mariano Von Dyl (he/him/his) is a first-generation law student from San Diego. Molded by his experiences as a queer Filipino-American, Ian’s community-building work as an undergraduate student at San Diego State University shaped his passion to be a zealous advocate. At the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), Ian has continued to work with communities as a member of College’s the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working Group.

About the Scholarship: In prior years, the FBANC Foundation and the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom Foundation (“BALIF Foundation”) have sponsored the FBANC/BALIF “Pamilya” Joint Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 to a current law school student who has a demonstrated commitment to the Filipinx American and LGBTQI communities.
