About the Position

This is a unique opportunity for an Employment Litigation Associate to join the firm’s expanding Labor and Employment practice

and assume a major role in litigation representing private and public entity employers. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of

substantive experience in employment litigation with a desire for trial or arbitration experience including: discrimination, harassment

and retaliation claims; FLSA and wage and hour claims, including wage and hour class and collective action lawsuits; legal research;

drafting motions, pleadings and legal memoranda; taking and defending depositions; managing discovery-related activities; drafting

EEOC position statements, DFEH responses, and conducting witness interviews and depositions, is also desirable.

In addition, the successful candidate will have a background in providing advice and counsel to employers on federal and state

employment law compliance, including COVID-related laws, regulations and orders; ADA/FEHA compliance and disability

accommodation; FMLA, CFRA, PDL and other employee leave compliance. Experience in labor relations is also advantageous

including labor negotiations, grievances and arbitrations, MMBA compliance, PERB/NLRB litigation and administrative hearings

and appeals.

Qualified candidates must have excellent academic credentials, outstanding analytical, research and writing skills, a strong work ethic

and dedication to superior client service.

Candidates must possess a knowledge base in California employment law, demonstrated ability to work independently, while

working in a collaborative, client-focused environment, and excited about growing a practice with other like-minded colleagues.

The health and safety of Meyers Nave employees is our most important priority. As such, we allow for a hybrid work schedule

during the Covid-19 pandemic. The salary range for this California-based role is $160,000 - $200,000, and represents the firm’s good

faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a

number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, skill set and office location.

Meyers Nave offers a reasonable billable hours requirement, annual discretionary and billable hours bonuses, competitive health

insurance benefits, 401(k) with a partial match and profit-sharing.
