Professional Development Director Mika Domingo

Michelle “Mika” Domingo is the award-winning Founder and Managing Attorney of M.S. Domingo Law Group. With a passion for helping others, Mika Domingo represents people throughout California in matters involving Probate and Trust Administration and Litigation, Estate Planning, and Conservatorships.

Mika fulfills her commitment to fairness, legitimacy and equality within the legal community by serving on numerous boards including as the first Filipina President of California Women Lawyers (CWL) in 2023, co-chairing its Judicial Evaluations Committee for the past nine years, chairing the Annual Dinner Committee and So, You Want to be a Judge program, and serving on numerous committees. She currently serves as President of the California Asian Pacific American Bar Association (Cal-APABA), co-chairing its 2023 Presidents’ Summit, 2023 Annual Conference and the 2024 Annual Conference. She is proud to serve as Co-Director of Professional Development of the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California (FBANC) for the third year in a row. Mika served on the State Bar’s Committee of Bar Examiners for four years, working on Moral Character Evaluations, Testing Accommodations, and Law School Accreditation. She is Past President of Contra Costa County Bar Association Women’s Section, and Past Chair of Contra Costa County Bar Association’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Mika believes that the justice system should work to benefit everyone, not just the few. Mika fulfills these same commitments to her clients by implementing a client-centered approach – meaning, she places herself in the shoes of those whom she represents. Because the stress and anxiety of pending litigation can cause barriers to communication, empathizing with her clients can overcome that barrier and contribute to a greater success in the litigation process: treating the client as a person, not just another “case.” Mika’s advocacy for diversity and inclusion has earned her numerous awards including the Minority Bar Coalition Unity Award, Contra Costa County Bar Association’s Diversity Award for the past six years, the Justice Marchiano Distinguished Service Award and the California Bar Foundation Award.
