Maribeth Charvet

Maribeth Charvet is an Associate at Goodwin Procter LLP in San Francisco, where she is a member of the Business Law Department and the firm’s Technology group. Her practice involves the representation of companies spanning the entire corporate life-cycle, including pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.

Previously, Maribeth was a Corporate Associate at Shartsis Friese LLP in San Francisco, where her practice focused on company representation and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Shartsis Friese, Maribeth was an Associate in the Global Transactions group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP in New York City, where her practice focused on public and private debt and equity offerings, US securities law, listing, and periodic reporting.

Maribeth formerly served as the FBANC Officer-At-Large/Foundation Treasurer, Mentorship Co-Director, and Professional Development Co-Director.

Maribeth is a proud “Double Bear,” graduating from both UC Berkeley and UC Berkeley, School of Law. While in law school, Maribeth served as the inaugural Senior Diversity Editor of the California Law Review, Co-President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and Co-Host of the Bay Area APALSA Conference, and a Clean Slate Advocate at the East Bay Community Law Center. Maribeth continues to maintain an active pro bono practice, most recently obtaining a finding of Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for two young sisters fleeing violence in Honduras.
