Hello! My name is Nicolette Rae Bencito (Nico), and I am running for the Secretary position for the 2026-2027 FBANC Board. I am an Associate Attorney at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani and part of the firm’s Healthcare practice group.

I have been involved with FBANC since my 1L year at USF School of Law and this will be my third year on the FBANC board. This past year, in my role as Mentorship Director, my co-director and I spearheaded FBANC’s Mentorship Program, connecting undergraduates and law students with practicing attorneys and legal professionals throughout the Bay Area.

We also had the privilege of organizing Komunidad 7, FBANC’s annual legal conference, designed to foster the growth, engagement, and professional development of law students and those interested in law school. We welcomed over 100 attendees, including law students, undergraduates, and attorney volunteers, who participated in student-led programming that focused on professional development and exploring different pathways in the legal profession.

In my role as Secretary, I am committed to sustaining FBANC’s connection with its broader membership by diligently maintaining our channels of communication. I look forward to working with this year’s board and committee members to strengthen engagement and visibility across FBANC’s initiatives, events, and accomplishments.
