Nicolette (Nico) Rae Bencito

Nico is an Associate Attorney at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani and a member of the Healthcare Practice Group, which focuses on the defense of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare and long-term care professionals and organizations. Prior to joining GRSM, she represented clients in matters involving general liability, regulatory compliance, and employment-related disputes.

Nico served on the FBANC Board as Operations Director (2024-2025) and Mentorship Director (2025-2026). In addition to her role as Secretary for FBANC’s 2026-2027 term, she is a Board Member for Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF) and serves on the Mentorship/New Lawyers/Law Student Committee.

Born and raised in Long Beach, CA, Nico is a first-generation attorney and currently lives in San Francisco, CA. She received her Juris Doctor degree with a specialized certificate in Labor & Employment Law from the University of San Francisco (USF), School of Law. She was a Senior Editor for The University of San Francisco Law Review and served as Co-President of the Pilipino American Law Society (PALS) and Professional Development Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA). During law school, Nico served as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles E. Wilson at the Santa Clara County Superior Court in Palo Alto and as a student clinician for the University of San Francisco Immigration Policy Clinic. Nico was also a judicial extern for the Pro Se Department at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, where she was a nationally competitive policy debater with the CSUF Forensics Team.
