Secretary Ryan Louie O. Manuel
Ryan Manuel (He/Him) is an Attorney at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard and Smith LLP (“LBBS”) in the San Francisco Office. He is a General Liability Litigation Practice Group member specializing in complex personal injury cases, including construction site accidents, premises liability, and automobile/trucking accidents. He has vast experience in defending individuals and businesses in cases involving traumatic brain injuries and catastrophic injuries, representing construction companies, AV event production companies, and grocery stores in workplace injury and premises liability matters.
Ryan is the incoming Secretary, ready to serve the FBANC community by prioritizing transparency, engagement, and synergy with the FBANC Board, our members, and the general legal community in the Bay Area.
Ryan joined the FBANC Board in 2022 as Co-Social Director (2022-2023) and is currently the Mentorship Co-Director (2023-2024). In his role, he had the privilege of working with brilliant, dedicated, and hard-working law student leaders from USF, UC Law SF, Santa Clara School of Law, and UC Davis School of Law in organizing and executing a successful and thought-provoking Komunidad 5 Conference at UC Law SF on February 24, 2024.
Ryan earned his B.A. in Political Sciences and Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara. At UCSB, he served as the Co-Chair of Kapatirang Pilipino. Ryan received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, Ryan was the PALS Co-Chair, President of APALSA, Pride Law Secretary, ELSAS Media Chair, and Symposium Editor of the USF Law Review. In 2019, Ryan was recognized for his achievements with the Student Bar Association Award.
