Jorgio Castro

Jorgio Castro is currently Senior Staff Attorney in the Economic Justice Unit at Bay Area Legal Aid, and focuses his practice on Social Security disability law, assisting applicants with major mental and physical health conditions in San Francisco. Jorgio is a 2015 graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law, where he focused on Health Care and the Law, and published two scholarly research articles on mental health and the law. He served as a member of the Hastings Law Review, student government, and as External Vice President of the Pilipino American Law Students organization and on the board of Hastings La Raza. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Susan Y. Illston in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Jorgio attended UCLA and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, International Relations. He was born and raised in San Francisco, roots for the Giants and Warriors always, and loves rescue dogs and his current family dog Chi.
